Violins

The violin is a string instrument with four strings tuned in perfect fifths. It is the smallest and highest-pitched instrument in the violin family, which includes the viola, cello, and double bass. The body of the violin is typically made of wood, featuring a hollow structure to amplify its sound. Its smooth, curved shape includes a neck, fingerboard, and scroll at the top.

Players produce sound by drawing a bow strung with horsehair across the strings, or by plucking the strings (pizzicato). The violin is known for its versatility, being a prominent instrument in classical, jazz, folk, and many other musical genres.
